Genre: New Adult

Cover Design: Regina Wamba (Mae I Design)

 Release Date: August 30, 2016

We were like two stars orbiting each other—dancing around the possibility that one day we might collide. When we finally did, we opened up a black hole, obliterating everything around us. No one would be the same.

Least of all, us.

Waking up in Vegas married to the guy of your dreams sounds like a good thing, right? Not when you’re Thea Montgomery and said guy is your brother’s best friend.

Thea and Xander have always avoided the connection between them because her brother would never approve. Now, they’re married— the strongest bond you can have as a couple—and they’re not even a real couple…unless they want to be.

Thea wants an annulment immediately, but Xander’s waited too long to see her become his and he won’t let her go easily.

If she wants a divorce, fine, but he wants the summer to convince her that he’s the one. If at the end of the summer she still wants to end their marriage he’ll sign the papers, but until then…

All is not fair in love and war.

The first 3 chapters of When Stars Collide will be going up on Wattpad soon.

Unedited and subject to change.

Holy mother of all hangovers.

I’d succumbed to the lure of Vegas and gotten completely wasted. Granted, that’s what everyone did in Las Vegas but I like to think I usually have more sense than the social norm.

I rub my eyes and blink them open. The hotel room comes into formation around me. The walls are a warm golden color and the flat screen on the wall plays some home improvement show. I can see the bathroom from the bed, the tiled walls and large soaking tub.

I roll over onto my side, hoping I can sleep off the hangover, and reel back.

“Oh my God,” I cry, flailing in bed.

My legs kick the sleeping guy beside me.

Not just any sleeping guy.

Oh no.

Xander Kincaid, my brother’s best friend, lays in the bed beside me.

His dark hair tumbles over his forehead and his cheeks are covered with several days worth of scruff. His chest is bare and…holy shit. He’s naked.

I look down.

Oh God, I’m naked too.

“What’s wrong?” He asks, reaching his left hand out to pull me closer to him. That’s when I see it.

“Is that a wedding band?” I scream shrilly.

His eyes narrow. “You don’t fucking remember?”

I shake my head and look at my own hand. A thin silver band rests on my finger. “What did we do?”

He sits up in bed and I try to ignore how adorably rumpled he looks with his hair sticking up.

Everything begins flooding back to me in quick bursts.

Confessions of love and desire.

A wedding chapel.

A contract.

“We’re married,” I whisper. “Holy shit.” It’s all I’ve ever wanted—to be with Xander, but not like this. Never like this. “My brother is going to kill us.”

Spicy Nacho Kale Chips

These are so yummy! && they are quick to whip up a little like popcorn. My husband says “I want a snack” and I say “Hey how about some kale chips” and there you have it I just make a batch of yummy crispy nuggets of love!

Add your oil and hand mix it all up it’s that easy!

Let’s be honest here I didn’t think I’d like kale chips they scared me like they’d taste like dirt or whatever. The hubster bought a bag of store bought kale chips and I tried them well let’s just say it wasn’t love at first nibble, but there was something that had my hand keep reaching in the bag. Then I had an epiphany I could make these and they’d totally be yummy.

Guess what?
They totally were yummy and so much better especially warm and crispy. Here is my recipe that was SO good!
Spicy Nacho Kale Chips

  • ½ bag organic green kale or (~10 large leaves) with stems removed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 5 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground chipotle pepper

  • Preheat oven to 300.
  •  Pour on the olive oil, and use your hands to massage the olive oil into each leaf.
  • Combine remaining ingredients in a small bowl, then pour over the kale, and use your hands to mix the spices among all of the leaves.

Spread the kale in a single layer on a large parchment-lined cookie sheet. Bake for 12 minutes, turn the cookie sheet, and bake for another 14 minutes. Let sit on the cookie sheet for 2-3 minutes before enjoying.

*UPDATE- You want to eat these fresh out of the oven. They lose all crispyness when they get cold just like popcorn is icky when cold. I wouldn’t suggest making in big batches to save leftovers.

Black Bean Cheese Fries w/ Sriracha Ranch

I LOVE making my favorite pre-vegan foods and turning them around to make them vegan. That has become a passion of mine! We loved I mean totally were in LOVE with cheese fries and ranch, we had it on a weekly basis. Well I have since found a vegan ranch that is out of this world and what would be better than to pair it up with some cheese fries vegan style!
I started out with potatoes and cut them up wedge style with skins on then seasoned them with whatever I felt like. Little sprinkle of smoked paprika here, little dab of garlic powder there, maybe some chili pepper or even some chipotle powder.

Once I baked them up to yummy pillows of potatoes I topped them with extreme pleasure!
Look how A-MAY-ZA-ZING!! I teamed it up with my recipe for Sriracha Ranch and this could not be more heavenly!!
  • 8-9 potatoes cut up wedged with skins
  • Your own special blend of seasonings ( I use Smoked Paprika, Garlic powder, Chili Powder,
  • Chipotle Powder and Cumin)
  • 1 can black beans
  • 2 bags of Daiya Cheese (I used 1 cheddar and 1 mozzarella)
  • Green onions
I cut up and baked my potatoes on 400 degrees for about 45 minutes. I like my potatoes really done andnot at all hard so that might be shortened with how you like yours. While baking I make my saracha ranch (recipe follows). When they are done baking I top with everythingelse and bake for about 5-10 minutes more. Then pull out of the oven and prepare yourself for anexplosion of your taste buds.
  • 1 cup imitation mayonnaise (I use Just Mayo by Hampton Creek)
  • 1/3 cup imitation sour cream
  • 1/4 cup regular unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1-2 tsp Sriracha Rooster version
Put all ingredients in a bowl a wisk until all incorporated. Put in the fridge until ready to use.
Enjoy this moment! When you put the first bite in your mouth, you may want to capture it in a selfie 🙂It’s good it’s bad!!
*Update- I do try to not eat this that often since is a little unhealthy, but it feels so good to indulge every now and then and not give up on your values 😉

DIY Body Wash & Foaming Hand Soap

For Christmas as gifts I made homemade body wash and foaming hand wash. Since then I have kept up stock in this super awesome stuff. We have saved lots of money when we buy one bottle of Castile soap it lasts for awhile. I buy this brand.

We LOVE this recipe for both products but the body wash leaves me soooooo soft. Oh my goodness!!!

Body Wash

1/4 cup coconut oil

1/4 cup olive oil

1/4 cup aloe

1 tsp vegetable glycerin

1 Tbsp guar gum

3 cups distilled water

1 cup Castile soap (I use this brand here)

In a blender mix all ingredients except Castile soap. Blend until thick and creamy. After blending stir creamy mixture with Castile, I use lavender scent at this time you can add any essential oil you want I add Sweet Orange. Then put in any 32 oz container and enjoy! The smell is so wonderful you’ll love it!

Foaming Hand Soap

1/4 cup of Castile soap

1 cup water

Mix together and put in any foaming hand soap dispenser. I add essential oils to this also.

For both of these I made mason jar dispensers. I just saved the pumps and drilled holes in the tops then glued them in place. Wahla you have a fancy dancy dispenser.

Cove Castile Soap

Benefits of the Ingredients Found in Our SoapAll of our soaps contain a moisturizing blend of Argan, Hemp and Jojoba oils. Our Lavender-scented soap also contains the wonderfully fragrant addition of Lavender essential oil. We’ve highlighted the benefits of these ingredients below, so you know what to look forward to from your bottle.

Lavender Essential Oil is a popular essential oil frequently used in a variety of forms including aromatherapy oil, perfumes, gels, infusions, lotions, and soaps. Known as a natural sleep aid, people often use lavender oil to help regulate their sleeping patterns. Other benefits include:
– beautifully fragrant
– good for sinuses
– natural sleep aid
– calming and soothing aromas

Argan Oil is a highly moisturizing oil derived from the argan tree native to Morocco. Typically, pure castile soap can be quite drying for hair, so the addition of argan oil helps to boost the moisturizing properties of the soap.

Jojoba Oil is the only oil that closely resembles human sebum – a waxy substance naturally produced by glands within the skin. This makes it a great choice for natural skin conditioner.

Hemp Oil is rich in proteins, essential fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6, and vitamin E antioxidants. These nutrients have a number of great effects when used on skin.

What Makes Our Soap Different

You can feel good about using this soap. It’s natural, vegan, and fully biodegradable. We left out the bad stuff, so there’s no detergents, no foaming agents, no chemicals, and no animal products – only pure, certified organic plant oils transformed into soap. We keep it simple and eco-conscious.
We care about your skin. The added argan, hemp, and jojoba oils are packed full of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. For good measure, we also threw in some olive oil and vegetable glycerin. Together, these ingredients work to repair and illuminate your complexion.
But, it isn’t just bath soap. You can dilute and mix it to create a thousand different personal care and cleaning products (well, maybe not that many). Use it as a body wash, hand soap, shampoo, facial cleanser, shaving cream, baby wash, pet shampoo, dish soap, laundry detergent, scrubbing cleaner, glass cleaner, insecticide, anti-fungal plant spray, and many more! Because we’ve got your back, several of our favorite recipes are included right on the bottle.

~~~~~~~~My Review~~~~~~~
First off this smelled light and airy my husband didn’t like it for himself. It was too girlie is what he said. I liked the smell I had no trouble with it but it did make my skin feel soft. After I get past the initial coat it is slightly heavy. It makes me sweat a little until it absorbs into my skin then I can put on my make up.
The ingredients have sea salts in them and you totally feel as if you are in the salty beach air as you use this. I live in Florida so beaches are close but not that close. I have nice acne free skin but it is easily irritated by products this doesn’t aggravate my skin.  Many people may like this type of clean light scented product. Like I said it was a heavy feel at first then I had no problem with it, it may feel totally different on someone else but this has so many ingredients that are good for your skin.  If your looking you may want to try it.
I received this product at a discount for an honest review.
